Almost very good condition. Large format. Leather spine and corners; raised bands to spine; gilt title and decorations. Marbled endpapers. Two books in one. First book was published in 1827, second was published in 1829 just titled 'London In the Nineteenth Century, Illustrated By A Series of Views. Subtitle of first book is: 'Displayed in a series of engravings or the new buildings, improvements, &c. Engraved title page shows 'Sussex Place Regents Park'. Engraved title page to second book shows 'Temple Bar, From the Strand'. First book has 79 b/w plates, 2 views per plate and a plan of Regent's Park. Second title includes 18 b/w plates (each with 2 views) and 12 b/w plates with 3 views per plate.
Scuffing and chipping to leather on spine and corners; with some loss. Covers are also scuffed and worn, with some fading and other marks. Front pastedown has some surface paper damage - appears that a book plate has been removed. Page browning and some foxing throughout.
