This set makes a complete version of 'The Ring of the Niblung'. Bumping and wear to corners and spines of both volumes. Very uneven fading to The Rhinegold volume; spine looks almost cream. Some spotting to covers. All plates in both volumes are present. Some foxing and page browning. Contained in a custom-made slip case that is brown and in very good condition; just a few light marks. Weight: 2720g.

All colour plates present: last plate is corner creased but all others are in fine condition. A few scattered foxspots. Contents generally clean and bright, but pages 248-9 are browned. Crimson cloth with gilt decorations to spine and front cover. 40 exquisite tipped-in colour plates with captioned tissue guards. Red and grey pictorial endpapers. Top edge red. 325 pages. Title on front cover and spine is "Grimm's Fairy Tales". Some bumping and wear to spine and corners. 1-2" split to top of middle of spine; a little fraying to cloth. Some foxing; a few grubby margin marks. Tipped-in plates themselves are fine; a few marks to pages that they are tipped-on to. Plate page between pages 80 + 81 is partially detached to top; hinge is a bit pulled. All plates present. Weight: 2020g.

To collect Danish atmosphere for this classic, Harrap's sent Rackham to Denmark for a week in November 1931 where he took "notes & notes for dear life". The resulting studies of cottages, architectural details, courtyards, farm machinery and so on appear in the 12 magnificent colour plates and numerous b/w illustrations in this book. Dark red cloth, gilt titles and decorations to spine and front cover. Peach and white pictorial endpapers. 288 pages.Large format. Spine and corners bumped and worn with small cloth repairs to top and tail of spine. Slight darkening to spine and very light scratch/scuff marks to covers. Light foxing to contents and pale browning to margins of plates. Weight: 1120g.

A beautiful leather bound edition of Rackham's Peter Pan. Limp green suede binding with gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover and embossed border to front. Green endpapers are maps of Kensington Gardens. 24 colour plates with captioned tissue-guards. 125 numbered pages, top edge gilt. Very scarce with this binding which is in excellent condition due to being contained in original publishers box. Box has publishers vignette and book title in green stamped to padded top. Heavy foxing throughout but mainly to endpapers, prelims and textblock. Inscription in ink to half-title and a small pencil erasure(?) patch to top corner of same page. Box has done its job in protecting the book, is slightly edge worn with splits at lower edges and some scratches and is lightly browned. This copy would make a wonderful gift. Weight: 480g.
