We're pleased to say that the transfer of Rose's books to Tintern has now been completed! Considering the scale of the task, everything went very smoothly and all of the books are now on the shelves, arranged in sections according to subject and sorted alphabetically. We now have almost 13,000 childrens books, spread through most of the ground floor of our Tintern store. Local Topography completes the ground floor, and then wander upstairs for all our other main subjects, including History, Military, Art, Natural History, Transport, Science & Technology, and more...
In order to keep our shelves fully stocked, we are always buying new books - if you're thinking of down-sizing or selling your collection, let us know and we might be interested in making an offer. This month we're particularly interested in buying good quality History titles.

A Sample of New Stock
Published by the Daily Express the year after World War 2 ended, paper was still in short supply so War Economy Standard was still in use and the annual was produced with soft covers.
If you are a Rupert fan you may be aware that most of the Rupert annuals from the very first one (1936) to the 1970 edition have been reproduced in facsimile editions. However, a few of them haven't due to politcally incorrect content and this is one of them. In fact, it is the first of those not to be reproduced. It has now become very scarce as Rupert collectors want to collect the full set and without a facsimile of this edition they have to buy the 'real thing'...
