Welcome to the July 2020 newsletter from Stella and Rose's Books. The aim of our newsletter is to keep you informed of new information, articles and books available on our website.
In the last month, we've continued to settle into the new strange normality. For the first time in at least six months, things seem to be happening in a predictable routine. The social distancing measures in the office are well established and are keeping everyone as safe as possible. Book auctions are once again becoming a regular feature of our month. We were able to purchase a large number of motoring and military books this month which we'll be adding to our inventory over the coming weeks. And we've finally managed to get some quotes for repairing the damage caused by the great flood back in the spring. Hopefully by the next newsletter this work will be underway.
As we mentioned in our last newsletter, we'll be keeping the shop closed to the public for a while longer in order for us to complete the necessary repair work. As always, we welcome your calls and emails and the new website is working well. We're hoping to add a few new little features to the website this month. The first of these will be to add tracking information to orders placed via the website. Although we send customers this information by email, this feature will allow you to quickly find your order tracking number without having to rummage around in your mailbox! If you have any other suggestions for enhancements please let us know!
Flowers contributed by Chris
Who does not like flowers? Whether it be a beautiful bouquet, a stunning garden display or a springtime collection of wild flowers along the roadside – there cannot be many of us who do not appreciate their variety and beauty.
We use flowers for so many occasions – a wedding bouquet, a funeral wreath, a get well wish for a sick loved one. When we are lost for words, flowers speak for us. They bring beauty to our environment and can be objects of romance, ritual, religion, medicine and even a source of food.
