July 2022 Newsletter
Welcome to the July 2022 newsletter from Stella and Rose's Books. The aim of our newsletter is to keep you informed of new information, articles and books available on our website.
As always, we hope this newsletter finds you and your families safe and well. As we write this, Britain (and much of Europe) is roasting in a heatwave! If it's too hot to be outside, can we suggest settling down with a good book in the shade?
Since reopening to the public, the shop continues to be be busy - especially on the weekends. Your emails of books for sale are also keeping us busy!
We've had a bit of illness and injury here. A couple of staff caught Covid - and then another badly sprained their ankle. But we're all (just about) fit and well again now thankfully. With not much other news, we'll keep this short and just say we hope you enjoy the newsletter!

I Was a Rat! (or The Scarlet Slippers) by Philip Pullman Are you at all familiar with the story of Cinderella? And do you, by chance, remember the part of that tale where Cinderella’s fairy godmother turns up and helps her fulfil her wish to go the ball and meet Prince Charming? Six white mice turned into horses to pull the carriage which had previously been a pumpkin.
