Good condition. This is the first Rupert annual to be dated on the inside title page. Colour illustrated boards showing Rupert leap-frogging over Bill Badger. First story 'Rupert and the Water-Lily'. 107 pages.
Splits (about an inch and a half) to top of spine. Smaller splits to bottom. Spine and corners bumped. Corners worn. Mark to top of rear panel. Top and bottom of front joint broken. Name in belongs to box, crossed out and another name written in. Inscription in ink below belongs to box plus more writing in red felt tip pen. Colouring contest has been messily completed and name and address entered. Cut to top of page 21/22. Pen and crayon marks to some pages. Some corners creased. Name and address written on postcard on stamps puzzle page and stamps are MISSING. A few small margin tears. A reading copy.
