Browning to spine and cover edges. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some marks to outer page edges. Wrapper is very creased with tears; repaired to verso with sticky tape; some loss.

- It was the little plastic badges given away with the packets of Krunchie Whispie cornflakes that sparked off the idea of the Jennings Membership Club - a group whose aims were such a closely guarded secret that nobody (including the members) could find out what the club was for! But with Jennings as chairman anything could have happened and almost everything did!
- There was the fiasco of the Secret Listening Post and the nerve wracking uncertainty of the Mixed Assortment. There was the shattering misadventure of the 'Ground to Air; Space-guns and the alleged theft of Mr. Wilkins' car with its embarrassing consequences at the police station.
