Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Red boards, black title to spine. 4 b/w illustrations. Colour frontis. 256 pages. Top edge red.

Bumping to spine and corners. A little fading to very top and tail of book. Partially erased inscription in ink to front endpaper. Page browning. Wrapper is price-cut with edge-creasing and chipping; a little loss. Some scuffing to wrapper spine.

  • A term at Linbury Court School would not be complete without JEnnings and Darbishire getting up to something. But this term exceeds all others in "hoo-hah's" as Darbishire would say. There was a photographic expedition which started off quietly enough; there was a guinea pig brought to the school by a well-meaning but misguided grandmother; there was a school inspector ..............
  • It is a hilarious term with trouble brewing up thick and fast from every quarter, but finally it is Jennings himself who saves the situation and even Mr. Wilkins, his exasperated form master, has to admit that "there must be something to be said for the silly little boy, after all !"
