Very good condition. Sixth Edition with the author's final revisions. Produced on the occasion of the Eight Hundredth Anniversary of the Dedication of the Abbey. Red leather binding, 5 raised bands to spine, gilt tooling and gilt title to spine. Gilt college crest to front. Marbled endpapers and text block. B/w frontis and illustrations.
Edges rubbed, boards a little marked. Bookplate with modern gift inscription to front pastedown. Joints starting to pull but binding tight. Some scattered foxing else contents clean.
