The history and background of Rolf Hochhuth's use of poetic licence whilst simultaneously staking claims to irrefutable historical truth based on documents tucked away in a Swiss Bank vault for the next 50 years. Hochhuth proceeded to blacken the name of Winston Churchill with an allegation that he ordered of acquiesced in the political murder of his friend and ally, General Wladislaw Sikorski of Poland.
