Good condition. Large format. Dark blue cloth, gilt title to spine. B/w plates and illustrations. Top edge gilt. Other edges deckled.

Mottling to cloth of rear board, corners & top & tail of spine rubbed exposing board beneath cloth. Front joint on outside of the front board is split all the way at the vertical edge of the spine. Binding still tight despite this. Endpapers browned. 'Cancelled' stamp in red to front pastedown. Some browning to contents. Overall a decent copy considering the age of the book.
