Nearly fine condition in a very good dustwrapper. The book presents Cayley's aeronautics. By 1849 Cayley had constructed and flown a full-size triplane glider which carried a boy for brief distances and in 1853 Cayley despatched his unwilling coachman across a dale near Scarborough in a glider. B/w illustrations.
Light browning to text block. White dustwrapper is grubby and browned, edge-worn.
