Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper. Fardingales is a large white three storied house on the South Devon coast. Here the heroes Humphrey Anthony, his cousin Anstace Rosevere and their friend Tom Vinton find that small articles of personal property mysteriously disappear. There are mysterious passageways and eerie cellars and then Humphrey and Anstace are kidnapped and imprisoned. What has the house Fardingales got to do with desperate criminals? Blue cloth, black title to spine. B/w frontis. 152 pages.

Spine a little bumped and faded, Some marks to covers. Prize presentation plate to front pastedown. Endpapers browned and foxed. Foxing also to page edges. Contents seem clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased. Small area of loss to back panel and top of spine which is faded. Brown mark to rear panel which is grubby.
