Very good condition in a good dustwrapper. The Famous Five's first adventure featuring a ruined castle, a wreck and buried treasure. Black boards, silver titles. Plain endpapers. B/w illustrations.

Brown spot to spine. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and a few to page margins. Wrapper is torn and chipped with tape repairs to verso; creased; hole with loss to spine; other smaller areas/chips of loss.
