Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper. Yellow cloth, red titles and vignette. Pink pictorial endpapers. B/w illustrations.

Spine and corners bumped. Board edges are a little browned. Small bookseller's label to front pastedown. Name in ink to front endpaper. Inscription in ink, which has been crossed out to half -title page which is foxed. Some foxing to page edges. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn with several tears including 3" tear to rear of spine. A little creasing. Rear panel is grubby. Some foxing to verso.

Darrell's young sister, Felicity, is in the first form this term, and Darrell is looking forward very much to showing off her beloved Malory Towers to her young sister, but Felicity befriends June, a person who Darrell isn't very keen on. But that doesn't take away the excitement Darrell has when she learns she is made head girl of the Upper Fourth. But being head girl isn't quite as exciting as Darrell hoped it would be, and soon begins to lose her temper.
