Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. David Mushet was a pioneer in the development of the iron and steel industry and set up an ironworks in the Forest of Dean. His son, Robert Forester Mushet invented the means by which the Bessemer process was made practicable. The firm was eventually taken over by Samuel Osborn. The author became chairman of this firm in 1948. B/w photos.
Wrapper is edge-creased with a few small chips and nicks.
