by G. Van Den Bergh; Joan C.H. Marshall
Published by The Scientific Book Club.
Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. A comprehensive description of the phenomena of the universe. The Author, a well known Dutch scientist, explains the knotty points of Astronomy and with the assistance of many diagrams and illustrations presents in readable form a coherent account of the universe - Earth, Sun, Moon and Stars. Yellow cloth spine with dark blue title, cream paper boards. 18 half-tone and 34 line illustrations. xii and 370 pages including index.
Some mottling to boards. Top edge of rear board is damp stained (not too bad). Spine is mottled and lightly browned. Some hinges lightly pulled but binding is tight. Browning to text block and endpapers. A few minor margin marks else contents are clean. Dustwrapper is edge-worn and chipped, grubby to rear panel. Rare with dustwrapper.
