Fine condition. The Legacy is one of the rarest books in angling literature, originally published in 1810. It was the first angling book to contain a coloured plate illustrating some of the insects imitated by fly dressers. This edition was printed on Abbey Mills Greenfield Laid paper. Each copy containing a hand-coloured facsimile of the frontis used in the first edition. 325 copies were printed as a standard limited edition, numbered 56-380. Green morocco grained leather spine with gilt title. Swedish hand-marbled paper sides. In specially made marbled board box with paper label.
This is copy no. 343. Contained in near fine slip-case, that just has a little foxing to title plates.
