Slightly better than good condition. Large format. Pages 520, xxiv. Three-quarter brown leather, marbled boards. Gilt title to spine. Numerous colour and b/w plates. This volume devoted entirely to the horse.

12 of 13 plates present, inc. coloured frontispiece. Thormanby is missing. The Arab Toorkman plate has a small tear (no loss) and some slight staining. The 19 anatomical plates at rear of book (3 in colour) are all present. p. v/vi torn, no loss. Apart from these minor faults, a good useable copy.
