Very good condition. An endeavour to place the History of Inland Navigation in Great Britain from the commencement to the present time (1897) in a form suitable for ready reference. Blue cloth boards, gilt titles. 132 pages including index plus 32 pages publisher adverts to rear.
A few nicks to spine edges, spine lightly worn at top & tail and vertical edges. Name in red ink and in pencil with date to free front endpaper. 'Oxford Canal Navigation Canal Office, Oxford' stamped to front pastedown. Inscription in ink from 'the author' to front fly. Text block browned. Joints cracked, one hinge pulled but binding is tight.
