SNUFF BOTTLES OF CHINA
by Hugh M. Moss
Published by Bibelot Publishers Limited. 1st. 1971
Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. The Chinese, with their long and carefully preserved fingernails, were unable to take a pinch of snuff in the European manner; and so they devised the snuff bottle, with its tightly stoppered narrow neck and attached small spoon. A fascinating book to the expert or the amateur. Large format. Brown cloth boards, gilt titles. Beige dragon decorated endpapers. Colour photos.
A few marks to pictorial dustwrapper.
