Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. Published posthumously although the origins of the book stretch back 60 years long before the Hobbit! The story of the First Age in Tolkien's world. Fold-out map to rear. Top edge blue.
Spine bumped. Slight fading to lower edges of covers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper, tiny light splash mark above this. Endpapers are very lightly browned. There is slight loss to the edge of the folding map. Price-cut wrapper is slightly worn to spine and corners.
