Very good condition in a slightly better than very good dustwrapper. David & Charles Locomotive Monographs. The 8-foot Singles, developed over a period of 25 years, were Stirling's last words in symmetry and graceful proportions as applied to motive power on the Great Northern in the nineteenth century. Burgundy boards, gilt title to spine. Colour frontis & b/w photos and diagrams.
Minor browning and tape marks to free endpapers. Foxing to text block. Contents otherwise clean. Green pictorial dustwrapper is lightly edge-rubbed and slightly grubby to rear panel.
