Contents

  • Nona Browning's parents are dead, and she is physically handicapped. She is brought up in an orphanage where she is given dancing lessons to strengthen her body and, as a result, grows to love ballet dancing and finds that she has an aptitude for it.
  • Sadly, however, she thinks that she'll never be strong enough to make a career as a dancer, though she only wishes she could - particularly after she meets Vicki Scott, daughter of the famous ballerina Veronica Weston, and a good dancer herself.
  • Just how she gets her big chance, and what she makes of it, forms the climax of this enthralling book.
