Contents

  • Jean and Dick Fraser's father suddenly dies and they are thrown unexpectedly upon the care of their great grandmother. She is unable to keep them in her tiny London house and so sends them to a far northern island which she owns. Having been brought up in fashionable and expensive schools and having spent their holidays in luxurious English and foreign resorts the children are at first bored but it is not long before they find that the island affords many entrancing amusements and adventures culminating in their discovery of the secret of the island.
