Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper. The Far Island was Margot Pardoe's first book and introduces Dick and Jean Fraser who later appear in the Bunkle series of books for which the author is best known. Blue cloth with black titles and vignettes. B/w illustrations. 308 pages.
Spine and corners lightly bumped. Spine slightly browned. Name in pen to front endpaper. Light foxing, mainly to endpapers, prelims and text block. Book has a musty smell. Price-cut dustwrapper is worn, torn and chipped, a little loss from ends of spine and folds. Panels are grubby and foxed, spine is stained and browned.
