SARA GOES TO GERMANY

by Mabel Esther Allan

Published by Hutchinson of London. 1st. 1957

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. A holiday abroad... and for the first time too! Blue boards, dark red(?) title to spine and vignette to front cover. Burgundy endpapers. 216 pages.

  • What a wonderful experience for seventeen-year-old Sara Roland - so much to see, so many exciting adventures...Sara begins to feel almost grown-up, just as any girl would when she finds herself on her own for the first time.
  • And then there is Dinkelsbuhl itself, that lovely little mediaeval city which wins her heart, and is such a romantic setting for new friendships.
  • A perfect holiday? Not quite - because of Nannerl, the strange, sullen little orphan who dislikes the English Fraulein and who tries in her own way to spoil her holiday.
