Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The Jillies expected a lovely peaceful holiday in the Austrian mountains, but it was anything but a peaceful holiday. Green cloth, silver titles. Green endpapers are maps. Colour frontis, b/w illustrations.

A few small marks to covers. Foxing to outer page edges. Some page browning. Frontis is detached. Wrapper is edge-torn and chipped, with a little loss; creased.

Mandy, - with of course, Prue, Tim and J.D. - was looking forward to a tranquil holiday spent in the Austrian mountains with Lisbeth, her pen friend. But tranquillity and the Jillies are two things that cannot seem to go together, and almost form the beginning they found themselves in the midst of a typical "Jillies' adventure. It started with the mystery about Lisbeth's father: where was he and was he even alive at all? Then there was the threatening attitude of the odious Adolf - not much doubt about him being the enemy. But Miss Nicholls and Herr Stargrun and Johann and the wounded pheasant - were these friends or foes? And as the questions answered themselves, the Jillies realised that this was no minor domestic trouble that they were mixed up in, but a titanic battle for freedom against a ruthless and bestial tyranny.
