Almost very good condition. Blue pictorial covers with pictorial only of a young girl. Orange and cream titles. 2 colour plates plus numerous b/w illustrations. Pictorial endpapers. Serial story is Thimblekin, Tom and the Showman. 148 pages. 8.25" x 6.5". Page 15 lists the winners of the 'Unfinished Story' competition. One of these was Ursula H. Bloom, Whitchurch, Stratford On Avon. Ursula went on to become a world famous authoress with more than 500 books to her name. Her first book 'Tiger' was written when she was seven and presumable living at Whitchurch where her father was rector.

Spine and corners bumped. Spine a little browned. Endpapers a little browned. Some foxing to page edges. Browned patch measuring 3.5" x 2" to bottom of pages 108 / 109. Covers some of the text which is still legible.
