Almost very good condition. A story for girls. Red pictorial cloth with gilt titles and bevelled edges. 8 b/w plates. 456 pages plus 40 page booklist to rear.
Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Covers slightly grubby and darkened with some fading to spine and lower edge of rear cover. Name plate and tiny booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Front joint starting to crack. One gathering of pages is almost detached but otherwise binding is tight. There is one page with a tear and some foxing but generally contents are clean.
