Very good condition. Dark red cloth with gilt titles and two pictorial onlays to front cover, one shows a boy with 2 kittens in a hat and the other shows children with the chatterbox magazine. Colour plates, b/w text illustrations. 412 pages plus catalogue to rear, all edges gilt.
Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Some light scuffing to covers, a tiny puncture hole to rear cover. Foxing to endpapers. Some grubby fingermarks to page margins. Small damp stain to lower inner margin of rear endpapers. Front joint is cracked. A nice copy.
