Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Until the first appearance of this book in 1971, no overall chronicle of Victorian illustrated books was available. Fully illustrated in b/w. Includes sections at the end of each chapter listing the most important books of each period. An essential reference work. This is the revised impression. Maroon boards. 287 pages includes index.

Spine and corners bumped. Some faint evidence of pencil writing (now erased) to top corner of front free-endpaper. Dustwrapper is badly sunned to spine.
