Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Originally published in 1897 by J.M. Dent and then enlarged and revised in 1907. First reprinted by Heinnemann in 1909. 24 tipped-in colour plates and 12 full-page tinted illustrations. Brown cloth, gilt title, brown decorations to spine and front cover. 549pp. Cr 4to.
Inscription in ink to top of half-title page. Foxing to prelim pages and outer page edges, only a few to page margins. Wrapper is browned to spine, with edge-tears and chips; a little loss; some grubby marks.
