THE NATURAL HISTORY OF ORKNEY (NN 70)

by R.J. Berry

Published by Collins. 1985

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. New Naturalist No. 70. 2nd state - light green boards, squared spine. Colour and b/w photos. In his tracing of the island's evolution from its geological creation to the effects of oil technology; in the detailed, yet fascinating exploration of the plants and animals (and where best to see them), Professor Berry's expertise and enthusiasm is backed by that of local specialists, and Orkney's long tradition of natural history study. Appendices include definitive lists of all the species of flora and fauna on record and an extensive bibliography.

One of the scarcer volumes of the series. Foxing to text block especially top edge. Otherwise contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is very slightly faded to spine (as is usual with this series) and has very light scuffing/scoring only visible in light.
