Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Tracing the public performance of music from the taverns of the seventeenth century down to the famous St. James's Hall in Piccadilly, which lasted into the twentieth century. Burgundy cloth boards, sliver title to spine. B/w plates.
Tiny bumps to board corners. Text block browned. Light browning to margins of plates. Price-cut red dustwrapper is light rubbed at edges and has a 2" closed tear (no loss) to top spine edge.
