Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Written from and about the author's recently acquired cottage and garden in a Berkshire village, covering the relevant stretch of his beloved Thames near which it stands - the bridges, locks, and weirs, historical associations and legends. Green cloth, gilt titles. Colour frontis. B/w wood engravings.
Bumping to spine and a couple of corners. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is faded to spine, with edge-creasing and chips and tears, with a little loss.
