Very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper. A photographic essay that deals with the American railroad as it has undergone its most singular transition since the first steel rail was laid on the North American Continent. Large format. Grey boards, black title to spine. B/w photos and a few colour.

Top edge and top of spine bumped. Light stain to top of spine. Small numerical inscription in ink to top of front endpaper. Contents clean. Pictorial wrapper is lightly edge-rubbed, slightly faded to top half and has a tear to top of spine.
