THE DOG WHO WASN'T WHAT HE THOUGHT HE WAS

by Walter Emanuel

Illustrated by Cecil Aldin

Published by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd.. 1st. 1914

Almost very good condition. Extracts from the diary of a Mongrelian named Gibus, so-called, says his master, because his face reminds him of his opera hat when it is shut up! Large format. Light brown pictorial cloth. Delightful and amusing colour plates plus a few b/w text illustrations.

Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. A few light marks to covers. Browning to endpapers. Small piece missing from edge of rear pastedown and light stain to top corner. Ink inscription to verso of frontis. A couple of corner tips creased. A few closed margin tears with no loss. Occasional fox spots and light margin marks but overall a decent copy with contents clean and bright.
