Contents

  • The islands in the South Indian Ocean are some of the lonliest in the world, uninhabited, desolate and until recently utterly worthless. Those in authority knew why they might suddenly have become valuable but that was all.
  • That was why Biggles and Co. were sent on a roving commission to the South Indian Ocean with the task of searching the islands to see, as Biggles put it, " if any unwelcome tenants had taken up residence."
  • The discovery of certain trespassers on one particular island and of some rather curious 'treasure" turned this from a dull routine mission into a highly exciting adventure.
