  • Professor Richard Bigglesworth, know to most as Dickpa, while exploring on the eastern frontier of Tibet, discovers a mountain with curious properties, guarded by an unknown race, the Chungs, who, in addition to many remarkable scientific weapons, possess the power of making themselves invisible. The Professor escapes from the hostile Chungs and returns to England, but his enemies pursue him, and he calls in his nephew, Captain BIgglesworth, with whose help he returns to Tibet to discover the secret of the Mountain of Light. The Party is from the first Attacked by the Chungs, and it is only after being in great peril that they eventually escape, having first destroyed the remarkable power house in the Mountain with the aid of which this strange race hoped to conquer the world.
