Good condition. Blue cloth with sailing ship decoration to front cover and palm tree to spine. Colour frontis and 6 b/w illustrations. 286 pages. 2nd impression published in same year as first edition. 1* to bottom of half-title page.
Bumping with wear to spine and corners. A couple of very small splits to top and bottom of spine. Covers are grubby with a few small marks. Front joint partially broken, rest cracked but still holding firm. Frontis is MISSING. A couple of hinges are cracked. Some margin marks. Foxing throughout.
