Printed for The Ray Society for the Publication of Works on Natural History and issued to subscribers (No's 128 and 129 of the series). Vol I 19 b/w plates and 15 text-figures, Vol II 3 b/w plates and 81 text-figures. A detailed study. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine and Ray Society monogram in gilt to front covers.
Small, tidy presentation inscription in pencil to front endpapers. All plates present, contents clean. Uneven fading to spines but gilt titles still bright. A nice set.
