First story is 'The Socialist' by Mrs. J.D. Westwood. 208 pages. Spine bumped, worn and browned with a few marks. Corners and cover edges worn. Marks to covers. Small amount of crossed out writing to front endpaper. Grubby mark to top corner of half-title page. Rear joint and a couple of hinges cracked but binding is firm. Light foxing and a few marks to contents. All plates present.

First story is 'The Sea-Eagle' Nest' by Francklyn. Spine browned, bumped and worn with a little loss from top edge of onlay. Wear to corners and cover edges. Uneven fading and a few marks to covers. A couple of hinges cracked. A little foxing, mainly to text block. One plate partially detached.

Includes two articles and b/w illustrations by Louis Wain. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Covers a bit grubby, scuffed and rear cover is darkened. Front joint cracked between frontis and title page. A couple of hinges starting to crack. Endpapers browned, white marks to rear endpapers. Text pages very good.

Front cover and spine very stained and marked (damp?). Some bumping and wear to spine and corners. Small dark mark to rear cover. Joints cracked. Some pages are loose but none seem to be totally detached. Some foxing and an odd mark but most pages are clean.

Contents are very good, just an odd mark. All plates present. Book has slight musty smell.

Wrapper is scuffed and creased with some edge tears and chips.
