Very good condition.
Small format. Brown boards, white title to spine and front cover. Pictorial onlay to front cover. 85 pages. Tape 'repair' to base of spine. Insert with book says that this item has at one time been rebacked with original endpapers retained. There are no noticeable signs of this - so if it has been full rebacked in the past it has been professionally and very well done indeed! Grubby marks to pictorial onlay. Corners are a little bumped, with wear. Some browning and marks to outer page edges.

Annual format returns to hardback with this issue but is much thinner than earlier hardbacks. Pictorial boards - Rupert riding a huge seashell. 1st story Rupert's Silver Trumpet. 120 pages. 10x7 ins. Covers are slightly edge rubbed.Tiny amount of loss to base of spine, small tear (but no loss) at top of spine. Name and address in pencil in belongs to box. Price NOT cut. Puzzle pages are clean and unused. Contents are beautifully bright and clean.

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
Green cloth, gilt titles on spine and front cover. This is the only full-length William book (the others being made up of short stories) and was based on Val Guest's screenplay for the 1947 film of the same name. 264 pages. Minimal rubbing to spine and corners. Tiny dent to top edge of rear cover. Endpapers and textblock are lightly foxed. Dustwrapper is complete, just a little edge rubbed and slightly grubby to rear panel. There is a small hole/tear to rear panel as well.

Spine and cover edges are faded. Foxing to a few pages and outer page edges. Illustrations are still lovely and bright! Wrapper is creased with edge-tears and chips; a bit of loss; some uneven fading and grubby marks.

One of Mary Tourtel's first books before she went on to create Rupert Bear! Dumpy Books For Children series No. 10. Small format. Green cloth with dark green titles and stripes. Colour pictures with text facing, printed on one side of the paper only. A delightful little book! Foxing and browning to covers, with some uneven fading. Small nick to cloth at base of spine. Front joint is a bit cracked. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing and browning. A few hinges are a little pulled.

Some light knocks along cover edges. White mottling to pasetdowns at edges (from glue underneath). Foxing and some browning to outer page edges. Wrapper is creased with a faded spine; some edge-tears and chips; a few small areas of loss along edges. Wrapper has some tape repairs with magic tape to verso.

Pictorial card wraps - Rupert waving from castle ramparts. Produced during the second world war when paper shortages were at their worst, this is the rarest of all the Rupert annuals. Printed only by Harrison. Front cover and spine are 'detached' from the binding; covers are holding on by rear join. Bottom 2" of spine are MISSING; a further 1" of surface paper loss. Creasing to cover corners; some grubby marks. Surface paper damage to bottom half of front cover, where a sticker has been; remains of sticker. NOT price-cut. Inscription in ink to belongs to box. Grubby margins throughout. Binding at page 72/73 is mis-placed (stitching in wrong place). Illustrations are still lovely and bright!
