Beautiful colour illustrations throughout. The second book in the series of Beatrix Potter tales and Beatrix's personal favourite. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Inscription in ink to half -title page. Erased pencil writing to verso of frontis. A few light finger creases to pages otherwise contents are bright and clean. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Verso of wrapper is browned. Small ink stamp to front panel.

The sequel to The Dazzle. No longer nervous since meeting Mattie, the mouse with the magic dazzle, Tim sets off with them on a night visit to the city to see the Christmas decorations. Glazed pictorial boards. Colour illustrations. 44 pages. ISBN: 03400279710. Signed by Author with dedication to publisher's page, also inscription below. Heavy bump to top of faded spine affects pages too, base of spine has some loss. One page is detached but still present. A couple of pages have small marks but most are clean.

Double-page endpaper occuring twice. Spine and corners bumped, slight fading to spine and tiny touch-ups at top and bottom. Joints were cracked and have been neatly repaired. Some slight surface paper damage to top edge of rear pastedown. Pale page edge browning and some very light finger creases to page margins otherwise contents clean.
