Royal Commission on Historical Monuments England. This is the first of several volumes to be devoted to the City of York. Large format. Purple cloth boards, gilt titles. Plans and b/w photos. Map showing the position of the Monuments and Burials in pocket at the end of the book. Top edge gilt. Light dampstaining to edges of boardsw, light scuffing and spotting to spine. A few foxspots to title page else contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper has some foxing and is a little grubby.
