These books have been rebound, with new leather spines with raised bands; original covers laid down. New endpapers. Heavy wear and scuffing to covers and corners. Volume I - All plates present. Volume II - 7 MISSING. 14 extra plates to list. Volume I - has inscription in ink to prelims; which in part reads: The Notes and corrections in this Volume are in the handwriting of Watkin Williams Esq. of Penbedw, Lord-Lieutenant of the Counties of Denbigh and Merioneth, & M.P. first for Montgomeryshire & afterwards, for Flint Boroughs. Margin correction marks. Some page edges are a little chipped. Page browning. Some foxing. Still look a handsome set on the shelf!
