Foxing and page browning to text pages. All plates present and in fine condition. Hinge between last page of text and first plate is cracked. This edition "reissued with slight rearrangement of pictures, February 1911".

Contents are generally very good, but pages do have some grubby margin marks.

Removal of small (name?) plate to half title page which has caused some light browning to page and verso of front endpaper opposite. Lower 3" of front joint cracked. Light foxing to contents and small circular mark to margin of a few pages. Small erased pencil mark to margin of one page. A nice copy of the first edition.
