A story of Hare's adventures when he decides to take the "bright red, roaring, ramping, snorting kind of house on wheels" to go shopping. A delightful story about Grey rabbit and her friends. Lime green pictorial boards. Illustrated red & white endpapers. Full of wonderful colour illustrations. 63 numbered pages. Bumping and wear to top and tail of spine and corners. Some grubby marks. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Page edge browning, with some foxing, but contents are generally very good. Wrapper is price-cut with creasing; tears and chips; piece of loss to top of spine/front panel.
