Very good condition. Privately printed for Allen Lane. One of 1500 copies. With 40 French-fold leaves and illustrated with 31 wood engravings formerly used in Penguin books here printed on recto pages from the original block. Bound in gilt-titled quarter vellum over wood veneer boards.
Spine browned and cover edges also a little browned. Name and address ink stamp to front free-endpaper. Light page edge browning else contents clean.
